Getting back on track after Brno crash

After yesterday’s race I can gladly say that I picked up where I left off and even improved a little bit after crash in Brno. ? It was an amazing track day on SLOVAKIA RING – official site! I would like to thank guys and girls in my team for all the help and specially good company! ?

Monday morning laps were a bit shaky. ? The track was wet from the last night’s storm and I was for the first time on slicks. Sharky wasn’t properly tested and my shoulder still hurt. So… “pussy mode” was on and I hoped for the best. After the first round I regain the trust in my darling and started to push myself to get rid of the fear and doubts. ?

The afternoon turned out to be motherfucking hot. Literally it must have been the preparation for entering the gates of hell. ? Thou every round lap time was better. As I got faster my fears and doubts were disappearing in the distance.

I decided to take part in a race – Lady’s trophy, so let’s do this, I thought… I didn’t put too much thought to it. I just wanted to get in that racing state of mind. ? I was first after qualifications. The girl behind me was just a bit behind me. The start and first kilometers were kind of lazy for me. It annoyed me, that we don’t go faster, but I didn’t dare to overtake because I didn’t want to do anything stupid and go home in pieces again. ? She took advantage of this and overtook me in the first lap. Great… Now we’re talking! Race mode on! I didn’t give her the chance to runaway. I was just behind her and passed her as soon as I could. I knew she won’t let go. Let’s have some fun than! ? In next few laps one was in front of the other and the other way around. I got to the group of 3 rides who were overtaking each other. I couldn’t get safely through and I knew Joanna is breathing down my neck. Luckily one of them made a mistake so I could pass him and the one he wanted to overtake. One more to go! I caught him in the next turn. ? I had a free track and all the best chances to pick the best line. Of course I forgot to count laps and the finish line surprised me. I finished first in my category. ?

Thank you, Joanna Animucka, for an amazing race and I hope we meet again soon! ???
